Staff & Training

aWe recognise that for our service users the most important people in our organisation are the care and support workers with whom the service users will have regular contact. Our staff have a wide range of qualifications and we are committed to providing continuing training and development to the highest standards. The range of training that is provided to all staff includes:

Comprehensive induction programme – covering Moving & Handling, Health & Safety, Infection Control, Food Hygiene, Fire Awareness, Medication, Adult Protection and Dementia. All fully certificated before our carers start. There is specialist training available within Complex Clinical Care, Learning Disability, Mental Health and Acquired Brain Injury.

Robust recruitment procedures – all our staff are fully CRB checked and have all the required checks in line with Care Quality Commission regulations

Professional Development – we have a commitment to ensure all staff are formally trained. All our staff are entered on an NVQ 2 in Care and supported to continue progression to NVQ 3 or 4

Supervision and Appraisal – staff development is driven by regular assessment of all staff that who work for Kensington Community Care. This ensures training needs are identified and resolved on a continual basis.
